You weren't thinking about the beach.

And then you saw it — the blue-green shimmer, the pale sand, the white of a wave caught mid-break — and the question arrived quietly, without warning:

When did you last go? -

A Fleeting Memory in Singapore

Perhaps it was that late afternoon at East Coast — the city humming somewhere behind you but feeling very far away. Singapore holds its coastline and "a secret of mine" almost forgot to keep. This piece carries that same quality — luminous, unhurried, already half a memory by the time you notice it.

The whitecaps are built up thick, sculpted with palette knife and brush into forms that rise from the canvas surface. Of all the works in this collection, this piece carries the strongest sense of dimension — the waves don't just suggest depth, they reach out toward you.

Maybe that's the point. Some paintings don't ask you to look. They ask you to remember.
