How to use your beauty sponges?

💧 Wet Use vs Dry Use – Which Should You Choose? 

Our sponges work beautifully both wet and dry – the choice depends on the finish you want:

  • Dry use – gives fuller, more opaque coverage.Great for buildable foundation or concealer application.
  • Wet use – gives a lighter, more skin-like, airbrushed finish. The sponge absorbs less product, making it more efficient.

💧 How to Use Wet

Step 1 – Dampen Your Sponge

Run your sponge under clean water until it is fully saturated. Squeeze firmly several times to remove excess water – the sponge should feel moist and plump, but not dripping.

✨ You will notice the sponge expands significantly when wet – this is completely normal and actually a sign of good quality foam material. The expanded sponge becomes softer and more flexible, making it ideal for seamless blending.

Step 2 – Apply Your Product Directly

Apply your foundation, BB cream, or concealer directly onto your face in dots or thin layers. Then use the damp sponge to blend and press the product into the skin using a gentle stippling (dabbing) motion.

Alternatively, you may apply product directly onto the sponge surface and then dab onto skin – whichever method you prefer.

Step 3 – Blend with Stippling Motion

Use a dabbing or bouncing motion – never drag or swipe. Work from the centre of your face outward. The expanded, wet sponge glides effortlessly and blends product seamlessly into skin without streaking.

💡 The larger surface area of the wet sponge also means faster, more even coverage across larger areas like cheeks and forehead.

Step 4 – Set Your Look (Optional)

Use the flat edge of the sponge to gently press loose or pressed setting powder onto skin for a long-lasting, shine-free finish.

🎨 For Oil Painting & Art Use

  • Apply paint directly to the sponge surface and dab onto canvas for unique texture effects
  • Use different sponge shapes for varied stroke effects
  • For best results, use a fresh sponge for each art session – paint residue affects subsequent applications even after cleaning
  • Keep art-use sponges separate from makeup-use sponges

✨ Tips & Tricks

  • Use the pointed tip for precise areas like under eyes, around the nose and corners of the mouth
  • Use the flat side for larger areas like cheeks and forehead
  • Use the rounded bottom for blending out edges seamlessly into the hairline and jawline
  • Less is more – start with a small amount of product and build up as needed

🧼 Washing Tips 

Clean your sponge regularly for the best results.

  • Wet the sponge thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  • Apply a small amount of gentle soap or sponge cleanser directly onto the sponge.
  • Gently squeeze and massage the sponge until the water runs clear.
  • Rinse thoroughly and squeeze out excess water — do not wring or twist.
  • Allow to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storing.
  • ⚠️ Do not use hot water, bleach, or harshchemicals.
  • ⚠️ Do not place in a washing machine or dryer.
  • ⚠️ Do not store while damp to prevent bacteria growth.

⚠️ Important Reminders

  • This product is intended for adult use. Keep out of reach of children.
  • Store away from open flames and heat sources
  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Ensure sponge is fully dry before storing to prevent mould.
  • Discontinue use if skin irritation occurs
  • For hygiene, we recommend single use. If reusing, hand wash weekly with a dedicated sponge cleanser and replace regularly.
