This is where it began — the very first work created by our founder under The Sparkle Eyes. Not a study, not a practice piece. A real feeling, put down for the first time.
This piece was born from one such night: Mid-Autumn Festival over a harbour city, watching the sky light up for this festival every year. Something the city used to do, something you used to feel.
Every year on this night, I find myself in another city — far from the harbour, far from the crowd — and yet somehow still standing beneath that same sky.
Painted entirely with a palette knife, this canvas holds two emotional states rather than two places. On the left, blue and white move together — open and restless, the feeling of water and sky before dark. On the right, deep violet takes over, lit from within by the glow of city lights climbing the towers above. And scattered across that darkness: two moments of fireworks caught mid-air. One still white and whole. The other already turning gold, already dissolving — the way all beautiful things do when they start to let go.
Abstract in form, but rooted in something real. A city that knows how to celebrate. A sky that knows how to remember.
